1. Is he speaking about the McCrystal affair? I haven't seen him as a "military
expert" guest on any of the shows.

2. Yes, about McChrystal.
He also appeared with Blitzer today (yesterday,) discussing McChrystal. Said the following, my 'shorthand:'

'didn't have choice; personal, nonpolicy disagreement; just can't do that, lines can't cross, uniform code issues; mistake in judgment; mcchrys great; tough.

Is war winnable? Permanent setback for aq possible; not as 51st u.s. state.

Worth it? look at alternative; come to grips with aq. integrated theater, with pakistan very complex.'
