3. I'd like to agree, but I don't.
It is of utmost importance for the President to fire this ass, because if he doesn't and takes your suggestion, the right-wing media will bleat incessantly how the President is "weak".

Most importantly, firing the general emphasizes civilian control over the military to the public. This principle cannot be overemphasized.

Would be sweet to watch on teevee, though.

5. Bringing people up on charges is only for the "small people"
As far as torture and treason goes the policy of the last 2 administrations is "some folks are more equal than others" and moving on without charges is the way the large people are treated.

There is no rule of law anymore.
That has already been decided apparently.
