20. In a nutshell, no surprises. It's been more about the Repubs on the cmte. than Gonzales.

The Republicans on the committee have been shamelessly and shamefully on display in all their hyper-partisan glory. Every exchange goes something like this:

1. Repub accuses Democratic colleagues on committee of conducting some variation of a "partisan fishing expedition."

2. Repub then commends Gonzales for doing a heck of a job.

3. Repub then tries not to look like the partisan slime they are by saying, "yet, there are some things that need to be cleared up about this."

4. Repub then goes on to ask almost no questions about the attorneys' firings, but goes deeply into voter fraud, pirated DVDs, sex predators (but conveniently leaves out the name of Mark Foley.)

5. Oh, and as soon as a Democrat starts to speak, a Repub calls out "point of order!" to interrupt the proceedings.
