Have any of you ever read the poem written by Emma Lazarus, which is engraved on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty? Part of it says:

"...Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me..."

The statue of liberty advertises America as a garbage dump, where the rest of the world can dump their "wretched refuse". It tells all the world's nations, that they can gather up all their homeless people, their poor, their lepers, their insane, their bums, their welfare moochers, and their criminals, put them on ships, and dump them on America's shores.

Fidel Castro followed the instructions of Lazarus' poem in 1980, and he emptied the prisons and insane asylums of Cuba, put those people on boats, and dumped them in Florida. This lead to a crime explosion in Florida, and an increase in Florida's welfare budget.

Mexico has decided to follow Cuba's example. They are gathering up their poorest and most illiterate citizens, their drug dealers, their gang members, their homeless, and exporting them to the USA.

We need a Ronald Reagan type figure in immigration reform. He should go to the statue in New York, and declare, "tear down this statue!". The statue of liberty has proven to be as harmful as the Trojan horse was to the ancient Greeks.
