The Role of an F.B.I. Informer Draws Praise as Well as Questions About Legitimacy

By DAVID KOCIENIEWSKI
Published: May 10, 2007

...

Eljvir Duka, one of three brothers among the suspects, offered a rationale for their planned attacks, saying, according to the complaint, that when someone threatened “your religion, your way of life, then you go jihad.”

But no specific dates were discussed or plans committed to.

And when efforts to finally get the more potent weapons seemed close to producing results, the informer presented a list of possible arms that could now be bought. The list included fully automatic machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. But it was the men who scaled back their ambitions.

In fact, one of the suspects, Dritan Duka, seemed taken aback by the informer’s listing of the heavy artillery. Mr. Duka appeared to ask the informer if there was anything more he should know about the informer’s background or intentions, including whether he was religious. Asked why he seemed alarmed, Mr. Duka said to the informer, “There was some stuff on the list that was heavy.” And he added an expletive.

In the last recorded conversation cited in the complaint, the men opted only for the machine guns. They would “hold off” on anything more.

7. Shades of the first World Trade Center attack in 1993
In the course of the trial it was revealed that the FBI had an informant, a former Egyptian army officer named Emad A. Salem. Salem claims to have informed the FBI of the plot to bomb the towers as early as February 6, 1992. Salem's role as informant allowed the FBI to quickly pinpoint the conspirators out of the hundreds of possible suspects.

Salem, initially believing that this was to be a sting operation, claimed that the FBI's original plan was for Salem to supply the conspirators with a harmless powder instead of actual explosive to build their bomb, but that the FBI chose to use him for other purposes instead. <4> He secretly recorded hundreds of hours of telephone conversations with his FBI handlers; reported by Ralph Blumenthal in the New York Times, Oct. 28, 1993, secton A,Page 1.

In December 1993, James M. Fox, the head of the FBI's New York Office, denied that the FBI had any foreknowledge of the attacks. The 1993 WTC sting operation was depicted as a false flag operation and was a plot device for the 1996 movie The Long Kiss Goodnight with Geena Davis.

I've always suspected the move was on to establish another global boogieman after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. With the disappearance of communism, the driving force behind US foreign policy following WWII, the military-industrial complex, which Eisenhower warned us about, needed another reason for rifling the US treasury. So enter the "terrorist" who merely replaced the "communist."

Seems like the FBI and the Shadow Government have been very busy of late...

8. "You go jihad?"
:wtf:

I don't believe, for a minute, that a Muslim would use that phraseology. Sorry. Not buying it. If he'd said, "your religion, your way of life, then you START a jihad" or "PRACTICE jihad," I might have bought it.

But, "go jihad?" :eyes:

11. Gee sensational headlines followed by nothingburger story
Nobody could have predicted that the Bush administration, floundering in the polls and everyplace else, would resort to trickery to distract major media attention from their corruption, high crimes and misdemeanors.

13. Attacking an American FORT fercrimineysakes w/AK 47's?
That sounds scary.

I think Keith Olbermann should add this to that list he compiled last year of "Terrifying Terror Tales. Or how Bush Broadcasts BS for a Bounce (in the polls)". This would be number 108 since January, right? :patriot:

15. Notice ... this was done without bombing Trenton, nor was it broken
by listening to cell phone conversations ... it was broken by some teen at a video store ... in the same way that, if you take a picture of your 6-month old on a bearskin rug, the cashier at Wal-Mart will have you busted for producing and distributing kiddy porn ...

Doesn't it always turn out to be an FBI informant egging everyone on?
