1. LYING TO CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTE IS A FELONY...under 18 USC 1001 UNDER OATH OR NOT.
OK...I feel better now...except isn't THAT how Ollie North didn't pay for his crimes? HE WASN'T UNDER OATH WHEN HE TESTIFIED?

It makes no difference whether the AG was under oath or not. Lying to a Congressional committee is a felony -- under 18 USC 1001 -- whether you're under oath or not. (If you're under oath & lie, you could also violate 18 USC 1621.)

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 47 > § 1001 Prev | Next

§ 1001. Statements or entries generally
How Current is This?

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—
(1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
(2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or
(3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry;
shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.
(b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a party to a judicial proceeding, or that party’s counsel, for statements, representations, writings or documents submitted by such party or counsel to a judge or magistrate in that proceeding.
(c) With respect to any matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch, subsection (a) shall apply only to—
(1) administrative matters, including a claim for payment, a matter related to the procurement of property or services, personnel or employment practices, or support services, or a document required by law, rule, or regulation to be submitted to the Congress or any office or officer within the legislative branch; or
(2) any investigation or review, conducted pursuant to the authority of any committee, subcommittee, commission or office of the Congress, consistent with applicable rules of the House or Senate.

89. Wrong usage of term. See below from wiki:
The term has traditionally been used to refer to any person who holds a general power of attorney to represent a principal in all matters. In the common law tradition, anyone who represents the state, especially in criminal prosecutions, is such an attorney.

Some people think the word "general" used in that way entitles the official to the honorific "general", but this is strictly only appropriate for military generals.<1> The word "general" in "attorney general" is an adjective (unlike the military term). The plural of "attorney general" is either "attorneys general" (the older form) or "attorney generals" (common today).<2>

95. That's the difference between the House and the Senate
100 vs. 435
6 year term vs. 2
More reserved and deliberative while the House...hell there are all kinds of nuts in that bag. Seriously it is amazing to see exactly who has gotten elected by my fellow citizens.

This committe has a lot more members than the Senate one too.

96. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE ASK GONZALEZ IF HE INVESTIGATED ELECTION FRAUD, NOT JUST VOTER FRAUD?
He just said that VOTER FRAUD is a major crime which must be investigated. WTF?

The Democrats refuse to touch this issue.
Why?
