I erroneously posted a link to a 2009 magazine article written by the President on the SUBJECT of fatherhood on the occasion of Father's Day *2009*. It was NOT the official 2010 Father's Day Proclamation... as I advertised it.

An honest mistake folks; sloppy googling and some domestic distractions while I should have been proofing. I would have self-deleted but had to run out earlier than I thought to attend a play my son is in. (Mr. Obama would be proud of me... and would *probably* forgive me!)

Additional factual error: I said the president did not acknowledge gay dads. Turns out he DID.

Good on him!

1. Mistakes happen, no biggy

People who look square at the mistake and pile on anyway, can't figure out what their issue is.

He's got another Father's Day event planned for tomorrow where he'll talk about fatherhood and mentoring, plus another bbq on the south lawn. He'll probably do some more finger-wagging then so stay tuned! :)
