Old People Will Have To Find Other Pet Peeves As The Donut Hole Closes

$250 Rebate Checks Do Little to Solve Larger Issue
http://bignews.biz/?id=883508&keys=Congresswoman-Ginny-BrownWaite-DoughnutHole
“For the less than 10% of Medicare beneficiaries who fall into the so-called ‘doughnut hole’, these checks will provide them with minimal relief. But in the end, it will be like throwing a gallon of water on a forest fire. The reality is it will be another ten years before the ‘doughnut hole’ will be closed. During that time, Obamacare will increase every Medicare Part D beneficiaries’ premiums by more than 9%.

and then there is Vermont

Vermont to seniors: Return those $250 checks
http://money.cnn.com/2010/06/11/news/economy/vermont_medicare_checks/
But Vermont officials say that the 2,800 low-income seniors who have hit the so-called "donut hole" should return the money because the state's VPharm program already covers drug costs that fall into the gap.

1. Its because many drugs cost more than $250.00 to fill. Its not much of a relief
in the long run. Low income seniors will still be stuck with deciding on food, bills, or meds. Its a sham that medicare part D exists at all.

3. THAT'S why the Mediawhores won't mention it? Oh, no. You meant DU'ers who refuse
to acknowledge ANY positive news coming from the Obama Admin or the Democrats.

9. It really is not much of a help
Seniors will still have to bridge the couple of thousand dollars to make it out the other end of the hole. The 250 helps but does nothing to solve the problem.

6. Only those who hit the donut hole.
And you can bet that Closet Queen Rush will tell his teabagger pals to burn the checks!

7. Just in time for high electric bills
A/C costs will eat up that $250 before anything else.

Better than NOT getting it, but it's not going to make that much of a difference.
