I say that we keep pushing for impeachment no matter what some politician said yesterday,
today or tomorrow, it's our only chance to turn this disaster around. Without impeachment of the perpetrators of this Coup we have truly lost our country. I don't know about anyone else but myself I am not ready to accept that, probably won't ever be either.:patriot:

4. I mean we have been pushed to the brink where we have to do something
doing nothing is not an option anymore. I don't like being forced to do anything and this is no different but this time I must keep pushing and pushing harder with each passing day.

We'll never regain our standing as a First World Nation if we don't at least attempt to rein these criminals in.

bring this country back , a common cause if you will.... It is a necessary part of the healing process.... A message to any future leader that Dictatorship will not be tolerated...

9. I think it's the only way to demonstrate to the rest of the world that
the American people do not sanction this administration. We also need to send a message to the politicians, you are not above the law, least of all, the president.

Support the Constitution
Impeach Bush/Cheney

17. bush* cheney* will both be impeached and removed from office
the Troops will come home and the war for us will end and many of the perpetrators will be Hague bound, nothing less is acceptable, nothing.

23. It Sure Did In That Clinton Fella...
Ya know he was impeached and that was the last we saw of him. He didn't launch the air war over Serbia following that impeachment, did he?

There's 6 to 12 years of serious Repugnican crimes and corruption...no one figurehead should be used as a scapegoat to allow the rest to escape paying for what they've done. The Congressional agenda is already crammed with Repugnican abuses that need to be investigated and overturned (like the Patriot Act) and to focus on a political showtrial that won't lead to a conviction is a waste of precious time and resources as we need to put out so many fires.

An impeachment game could hurt the quick withdrawl of our troops by gridlocking the very House and Senate many here are bitching isn't doing a damn thing. We're closer to getting the votes to bring the troops home and put serious handcuffs on this regime's spending than to convict...and as you ask...then what?

The old saying is "if you are going to take down the king, you must kill him"...without having the votes to convict, there's no true "justice" here...in fact it's justice delayed and avoided as resources from criminal investigations will be thrown into a worthless political showtrial.

And that doesn't even take into account how the corporate media will play this...first as an attempt by Democrats to "grab power" and "overturn an election"...and then if there aren't the votes to convict, how "weak" they are.

History will be the ultimate judge on the political crimes of this regime...but I want REAL justice to those who have broken laws and purposely led this country into war and financial ruin. Sadly, our Justice Department is compromised and we need to clean that up and hope that the ultimate justice occurs in The Hague.

22. There would be a benefit to have it on the table and watch Repubs defend * right up to 2008 election
Nothing could be worse for the Repubs than to have to defend Bush right through the 2008 campaign season.

27. How many people here have contacted their Congressmen to express how
important impeachment is to you? The reason they aren't acting on it is because they don't see strong support from their constituents. Call or write and let them know.
