4. Saw a guy on CBC today from the Financial Times, and he made a point that the guy deserves a bit of
time off.

That you can't expect him to work 60+ days straight without a break.
I know....the Gulf isn't getting a break...the people losing their lives don't get a break from that. I hear those voices. I hear voices? oh no.
I'm undecided on it. It was terrible PR though.
And I think this dude will have his own paparazzi for a while

14. yes, doing photo ops is sooooo tiring. can't see that he was actually WORKING--he sure as hell
wasn't out there cleaning up that damned oil, or doing anything useful. by his own admission, he doesn't know anything, can't do anything. so from what, exactly, does he need a break?

15. Yeah, I guess he does need time off.
After all, he is only paid 6 million a year.
Working 60 straight days deserves a lot more money than that.

And since he admitted at the hearings he had nothing to do with the oil spill,
and was apparently kept in the dark about all problems on the rig,
and was not a part of any "decision making process", there is no point in his hanging around
our destroyed ecosystem.

I am sure that the folks on the gulf who cannot sail or shrimp or fish in our once pristine Gulf won't mind Tony breezing around in his own yacht, chumming with the other rich kids.

I thought perhaps he played golf. Maybe we can convince JP Morgan to hold this race in the Gulf next year.

7. This is as silly as those who are berating Obama for going golfing.
Does anyone really expect either man to be working 24 hrs. a day?

BTW, beautiful pic

sailboats, that's for sure.

I'd make damn sure everyone knew I was working on it except for when I was sleeping & eating.

BP's done way more damage than that.

"You can't expect..."

Wrong. I *do* expect.

10. What BP did is egregious, but I don't expect the CEO to hide in a cave on his day off.
Ditto goes for Obama and even Bush (who stopped golfing for a couple of years due to the criticism).

18. Remember Leona Helmsly?
"Only little people pay taxes".

I think there is a class of people who are indeed tone deaf. Perhaps also sociopathic,
and a few other labels.
They move in circles that allow in very little of the "small people" world.

Remember how shocked people were about Barbara Bush's comment re: the people in the Kingdome?
The sick thing is SHE had no idea what was wrong with what she said.

We may be under-estimating the number of truly tone deaf people there are.
