If a major bank or an investment firm came forward today and
ask for a few billion, Congressmen and Senators would be falling over each other in a panic mode to get legislation passed to approve the handout...And there would be no debate about increasing the deficit..
Now ..give them a jobs bill that would include extending jobless benefits,or blocking the 21% decrease in medicare or medicaid payment to doctors, they worry about deficit spending. The money can be taken from unspent funds already allocated that would not affect the deficit but they certainly want the public to think they are holding the line on spending..I dont ever remember any spending legislation that was blocked by Democrats when Repukes had control..I cannot believe these spineless Democrats are so afraid.
The way its going I dont think it will make a difference if Republicans do regain control..I dont think they will but we need leadership..Harry Reid needs to go,and Pelosi tells us one thing but then caters to her corporate donors and we get all these BS stories and she gets money in her treasure chest..We need new leadership..Term limits would go a long way in taking our government back too..What are Democrats afraid of...

1. I'm not so sure about another bailout
Especially this close to an election, I don't see one as being politically feasible. Even after the election, I doubt it would happen. The only reason it did a couple of years ago is that Bush the Lesser was asking for it, and some Repukes were willing to go along with it, you can bet they won't do it now if President Obama asks for one.

2. Problem here is that the Dems control BOTH the Senate and the House, and
Then there is the pesky truth that a Dem also occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

So a person can hardly blame the Republicans.
