Obama Lunches With Progressive Pundits: Maddow, Robinson, Collins
President Obama met for lunch on Thursday with a group of predominantly progressive columnists to discuss a range of topics, chief among them the oil spill in the Gulf.

Attendees included Gail Collins of the New York Times, Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post, Rachel Maddow of MSNBC and Gerald Seib, the Washington bureau chief of The Wall Street Journal, all of whom were spotted leaving the West Wing at roughly 1:45 p.m.

1. Perhaps the Commander and Chief took notice of the Rachel...
She has a way of attracting the attention of high minded individuals. Something akin to great journalism.

Not to mention, when Dick Army starts making fun of MSNBC pundits, you KNOW the Rachel's message to Obama would be taken more seriously.

God, I hope this president starts jumping in to the thick of it, as he's loosing ground fast if he does otherwise.

2. Keeping the right company is an excellent start.
And I'm hoping this is an indication the voices on the left are being heard some, now. :)

4. Must've been nice to get away from the lizards and grifters
and Ivy League Toadies and corporate henchmen who usually surround him.

Maybe it's the start of something . . .
