Nevada GOP Senate Candidate Sharron Angle Defends BP, Pushes More Deregulation

Joe Barton should apologize to Harry Reid's GOP opponent Sharron Angle for stealing her lines:

QUESTION: You have been in support of onshore drilling in the United States as well as offshore drilling, are you rethinking that policy with what is going on in Louisiana?

ANGLE: No. I think that what happened in Louisiana was an accident. They're cleaning it up. We need to go forward and talk about prevention and not about whether we keep it out all together. We know that lot of the problems that have been caused for us with foreign policy and even with our own gas prices here domestically going up is our dependence upon foreign oil.

We have oil reserves and petroleum reserves that we should tap into. And that's a policy that we really need to look at as a nation. How do we deregulate enough to invite our industries to come back into the United States and quit outsourcing their business?

1. She's the gift that keeps on giving
Sadly, she's running against Harry Reid, who IMO is a fairly weak Senate Majority Leader.
I want the seat to go to a Democrat, I just wish it wasn't Harry

The Dems need to make her, Rand Paul and Oil Slick Barton the faces of the Republican Party in other places.

2. Well, Reid is the only candidate running as a Democrat. I'll be voting for him.
And goddess help my state if '2nd amendment remedies' gets in.

4. I would be surprised if you didn't vote for him
Personally, I like Harry -- He's a 'Dead Head' as am I

I like him as a Senator -- just not the guy running the show

I am pulling for him in November

I can't fathom how dysfunctional and corrupt the Senate would be with newly elected Senators Paul, Toomey, Carly (what's her name) in California and this lunatic

5. It's still likely to be a squeaker and I'm nervous. The likely replacements
for Harry as Senate leader are not inspiring, either. Schumer is the name I hear most often.

I truly want to see Angle defeated. Harry is running ads about her wanting to end SS and Medicare. That should help. I think he needs to get it out there that she supports the Yucca mountain project. Vegas is the most populous area in the state and few people there would be happy about seeing the 'screw Nevada' bill reignited.
