Palin Humiliated by Bill-O "What Would YOU Do?" -- The Mudflats
This is pretty funny stuff. "That woman is an idiot," and even Bill O'Reilly knows it.

http://www.themudflats.net/2010/06/16/palin-humiliated-by-bill-oreilly-what-would-you-do/

OK, Mudflatters… It’s been a little while since we’ve gone on a group foray into Palin World, but this one I couldn’t resist. This interview was quite something. The “naughty librarian” is nowhere in sight. Palin’s latest incarnation is more like the mean librarian. The one who slams a giant book on the table next to you when she catches you whispering. (Yes, I’m speaking from experience) Tight-lipped, jaw-clenched, death-stare librarian, complete with the Xtra Large helmet shaped bumpit.

Fair warning. You’ll find yourself cheering for Bill O’Reilly.

I meant to post this last night, but frankly after transcribing into the wee hours of the morning, the only reasonable course of action was to become unconscious for a long period of time. So here I am, fresh as a daisy with all my supplies. Too, also, you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for our little hike up Crazy Mountain.

Tums? Check.

Desk padding to prevent head injury? Check.

Rubber boots? Check.

Cool damp cloth? Check.

High protein snack? Check.

Liquor? Check.

My comments and references will appear in blue. If you can view the video, you can read along.

<snip - transcript and comments follow>

She filed a lawsuit prior to the election claiming that Dunn was ineligible to run. No information on where the suit is in process.

2. Mudflats!
Palin's first response has me scratching my head. WTF is she saying? This is incoherent - as AKMuckraker says: Longest. Sentence. Ever.

"Palin: I did. I kinda have a big beef with you too though Bill if you don’t acknowledge that President Obama is wrong on his call for a need for energy policy. Certainly we need that but he is wrong not to acknowledge that we still need on a three-legged stool, the conventional sources of energy to be drilled here, otherwise Bill we are going to be dropped to our knees and bowing to the Saudis, and Venezuela and places like Russia that will keep producing oil and petroleum products, and we will have to let them produce for us because we will still be dependent upon these sources of energy in addition though, too, shifting more towards renewables, which of course we need, and the other leg of that stool is conservation. President Obama… it scares me – it saddens me that the CEO of our nation does not understand that inherent link between the conventional sources of energy that we’re dependent upon and our security, our prosperity, our freedom."

9. um, i think we are already on our knees bowing to the saudis.
i remember not too long ago a certain president bush begging OPEC to not cut production of oil. we ARE dependent on the very countries who we are in conflict with right now. and no amount of drilling here is going to change that. we will never have as much oil as they do. the only thing we CAN do is to make oil obsolete and find alternatives. period.

15. Golly, that sentence
Marking for later viewing of the video clips.

What a tossed salad of scrambled words and ideas. It's like reading the text of an excited fourth grader detailing the action from a Transformers movie. Mind racing ahead of mouth, eager to hit all the talking points, but having to backfill constantly as disconnected thoughts are voiced in the middle of a run-on sentence.

One point: Obama is not the "CEO of our nation," he's the president. And as much as the faux free marketeers would like it to be so, there's a big difference between running a company and running a country. One of the first, most obvious differences is that companies can refuse service to anyone; leaders of countries have an obligation to all citizens, not just the ones they like this week.

Thanks, Blue_In_AK, for posting this, it will come in very handy! My answer was because she hadn't provided any fresh 'material' for me but, thanks to you, I now have a fresh supply with which to amuse them, lol.

It's hard for anyone to be, but you'd have to be really, really, really self-delusional to see any positive signs coming from the right if you're a freeper. Your Palin-supported hacks have all gone down in flames except for the "raghead" sexpot in SC and the billionaires in CA. Your Beck is leaking gas from his gas bag. Your tea partiers all hate each other. Your one chance to watch Obama fail dismally is a no-win situation for anyone, least of all the Grand Oil Party. It must really suck to be a freeper. Even moreso now.

32. This is the part that really got to me, other than calling Obama the CEO of the nation
She has said that you can't trust anything the oil companies say. and then she says this:

National security – safety of the people needs to be the top priority. That’s where we need to be funding instead of funding these other things on the periphery that really just get in the way of the private sector’s progress and their ability to produce and to thrive and to prosper and instead our priorities in the national government have been screwed up. Now as governor of Alaska, what I did in dealing with the oil companies, and I’ll betcha 75% of my time was being taken up by energy issues here in this state. I had to set up our Petroleum Systems Integrity Office so that we could be there on the front lines making sure what the oil companies were telling us was legit, when they were dealing with their corroded pipes that we found out and other lax maintenance issues. It took us putting that as the highest priority to protect our resources, to protect our environment, including not only the physical environment but the human environment here.

which leads us to believe that she spent all her time in office regulating the oil company, which she is against. :banghead:

37. Her solution is help from the Europeans?
I thought they hated that, believing instead in "American exceptionalism."

Palin: Well, then what the federal government should have done was accept the assistance of foreign countries, of entrepreneurial Americans who have had solutions that they wanted presented.

O’Reilly: Who? Who?

Let the unraveling begin! Here we see the scary librarian in full bloom. Yikes.

Palin: They can’t even get a phone call returned, Bill. The Dutch! They are known…and the Norwegians are known for um dikes, and for cleaning up water and for dealing with spills. They offered to help and yet no… they too with the proverbial can’t even get a phone call back. That is what the Norwegians are telling us and the Dutch are telling us and the entrepreneurial Americans the the company in Maine that has the boom and um the the uh absorbants – those companies that are waiting for the Obama administration eight weeks later for the regulators to come in and say “OK, we’ll purchase from you now and we’ll do all that we can.”

And that paragraph continues. There's more at the link ( http://www.themudflats.net/2010/06/16/palin-humiliated-by-bill-oreilly-what-would-you-do/ ).
