Earthquakes are non-stop tonight!
Literally every minute or two in Ocotillo:

Some big enough to feel, many not but when they are this frequent you get to the point where you are not real sure if the ground is moving or not--like having sea legs. I have to double check by looking at a hanging plant or suspended light fixture.

1. I felt a 2.0 right below where I lived out in CA for a few mo. & it was startling since its
epicenter was directly beneath where I was, so I couldn't imagine dealing with them constantly like that. Hope it slacks off for you soon, and no big ones!

2. does it feel like a really soft wave ?
like you are on a boat in calm waters ?

i keep wondering if i'm causing the movement by any moves i make. it's not strong enough so far to tell it's an earthquake. but i do wonder.

3. Yeah, a little like that.
I think more like a ship tied up at the pier.

It's a little disorienting and you start to feel motion when there isn't any. Kinetic hallucinations?

5. According to that link...
...there have been over two hundred aftershocks in Ocotillo in the six hours after the quake, twenty-five or so 3.0 or higher.

:wow:

6. No wonder my dogs won't let me sleep.

7. There has been a swarm of moderate quakes occuring in the past several hours near SD..

Could be a precursor to something bigger. Hang on.

8. That's scary. Recent studies have shown...
that earthquakes can both relieve stress along a fault and built up stress along different sections of the same fault. I hope this isn't a precursor to something much bigger.
