Sarah Palin wants to meet Magaret Thatcher
USA Today is reporting this. It has to be a joke. She is trying to make international connections.. Doesn't Thatcher have Alzheimers?

10. Even Charro is too high for her
I thought she already had international connections, doesn't she just shout to her neighbors across her yard in Russia for foreign policy experience?

19. Actually Ali G could dress up as Maggie and I'm sure Sarah wouldn't know the difference.
Oh the fun he'd have with her. Can you imagine?

2. Thatcher is suffering from dementia
I doubt Palin is aware of that. She probably still believes Thatcher is still the Prime Minister.

34. No, it is not.
My aunt has it and she isn't a liar.

She barely says any words at all anymore and is a shell of her former self. You watch the person slowly disappear before your eyes.

I would not wish Alzheimer's on anyone.

And I certainly wouldn't joke about it.

30. She has a sort of Dementia and you are correct
how can she even make a rational decision to see Palin. They say she has been ill for years. See how ignorant Palin is. Since Thacher doesn't really understand any thing or any body, Palin will probably come back and tell the world that she was praised and agreed with by Thacher.

33. From Wikipedia...
Health

Thatcher suffered several small strokes in 2002 and she was advised by her doctors not to engage in any more public speaking. As a result of the strokes, her short term memory began to falter. Her former press spokesman Sir Bernard Ingham said in early 2007, "She's now got no short-term memory left, which is absolutely tragic."

On 24 August 2008 it was publicly disclosed that Thatcher has been suffering from dementia. Her daughter Carol described in her 2008 memoir, A Swim-on Part in the Goldfish Bowl, first observing in 2000 that Thatcher was becoming forgetful. The condition later became more noticeable; at times, Thatcher thought that her husband Denis, who died in 2003, was still living. Carol Thatcher recalls that her mother's memories of the time she spent as Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990 remain among her sharpest.

---------------

Thatcher may not have been the best of people, but please, dear ghods, keep Lady Blah Blah away from her.. no one deserves that.

35. Palin is just milking her "star" status for $$$
This was obvious to me a long time ago, but I think many others have also caught on. Unfortunately I don't think she's going to be running for President anytime soon.
