http://voices.washingtonpost.com/right-now/2010/06/fox_news_bungles_sharron_angle.htmlNevada GOP U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle, smartly, isn't making the mistake Rand Paul made after winning his primary. She's limiting her interviews, and her appearance today on Fox and Friends was, as the network pointed out, her first TV interview since the primary. Shame, then, that the hosts had no idea who they were interviewing. It was so bad that Fox 5 Vegas, a local affiliate with much less access to Angle, mocked the morning team for blowing the interview.
"It must be such a whirlwind experience for you," says co-host Gretchen Carlson, "someone who really has not been in politics before, and suddenly you are running against one of the most powerful politicians in the United States."
Actually, Angle had the most political and electoral experience of anyone in the race.
"Former governor Sarah Palin endorsed you," says Steve Doocy. Palin never actually endorsed Angle, but the candidate, being polite, nods her head.
It really sounds like the Fox hosts were more interested in shoehorning Angle into last week's narrative -- Sarah Palin's "mama grizzlies," tea partyers challenging the establishment -- then figuring out who she actually was.
