What really gets you the most about "Boo Hoo Bobby" Jindal?
Edited on Sun Jun-13-10 08:50 AM by Hubert Flottz
My issues...

(a). How they haul Bobby and his film crews all over the Gulf in boats and aircraft while they could be using those boats, choppers and planes to help the birds and the beaches.

(b). Boo Hoo Bob needs to bury the political hatchet and worry about helping out instead of stirring up hate and discontent during a very grave period of American History the entire country has a stake in. Should we really be out there punching more holes in the sea floor if we are not capable of mastering the technology? The evidence of the inability to cope with the problems BP is having, is right their under your snotty little snout Bobby. Take a sniff Bobby...that's the smell of "VICTORY". Victory after victory by the likes of Dick Cheney and George W Bush, in their fight to trash all government restrictions on outfits like BP, Halliburton, Exxon and AT Massey.

Edit...Feel free to chime in PLEASE!

1. I hate the way he gives speeches.
He talks to us all like we are 2 year olds with an IQ of 30.

20. I wrote the 'Presidential IQ' story 10 years ago giving a 91 to Bush
I wrote the article as a joke but it was picked up my many of the major media as fact because it was so believable. I know I was being too kind because Bush's IQ is a lot less than 91. A lot of Internet thieves stole my article and even built websites around it. Btw, I even tricked Garry Trudeau into writing a Doonesbury cartoon about my spoof article.

5. Piyush Is A Rising Star Again...
The rushpublicans desperately need the federal government to fail here. They want this to be "Obama's Katrina" and the more they can push this meme the better their chances in November and that's the bottom line. This is a party that has no real platform, no solutions...but being in the minority they don't have to. They can nitpick and frame and play politics rather than seek solutions...and, well, solutions mean it makes the Federal government look good...no way they're going there.

Also remember Piyush has probably getting some nice campaign coin from BP and other oil interests...not as though they didn't own him before this whole mess began.

8. "Bobby (among others)." My ex is an Asian Indian, quite successful, and he never felt
it necessary to Anglicize his name. It's a clear tipoff that Jundal would sell his soul to succeed in politics--and damn if he hasn't done just that.

9. How the Media perpetuates his sob story. Obama would not let
me build the birmes. I had to wait weeks for a response.

Fact: The Government Engineers reviewed his plan. They
said as it was proposed, it was not practical. They
revised and made suggestions.

As a Governor I would have shot first and took the praise
or punishment later. I have never understood why boats
were not placed at the outer edges of oil slicks and vacuued
and sucked up. Large Amounts would never have reached
shore. I would have kept an accurate lists of the costs
and billed them after.

11. Yep, The Berms Would Have Created More Problems...
They would choke off the flow of water into the inlets that are needed to recharge the marshes...suffocating them.

The problem with skimmers in the early stages is how widespread and deep this oil is (especially those that have been sprayed with dispersants)...a lot different than scooping up the water in a confined area. Also there are a lot of offshore rigs that are constant hazzards with the larger ships; making manuevering near the coastlines tricky.

Sadly there is no fail safe way to clean up oil...be it on water or on the beaches...nor a way to completely contain it. The sooner that gusher is capped the sooner we get toward dealing with the damage.

12. If they had used Tankers which are equipped to suction and separate
oil from water, from the beginning. and skimmers out
closer to the state shore lines, I still believe much
damage could have been avoided.

Are the tankers stored someplace filled with oil
so they could not be used.

Darn I would have borrowed tankers from the Middle East
if necessary.

14. The USCG Has Been Skimming The Shorelines...
NatGeo recently did a documentary on the disaster and showed several ships that are out skimming and recapturing as much oil as possible, but the volume of this mess is overwhelming. Adm. Allen admitted last week that this isn't one big slick but hundreds of thousands of them over a large area...and we may eventually learn that each day there was another 100,000 barrels that were let loose. You can contain in small areas, but I honestly believe this mess is so vast it's beyond our technology to stem the tide. I wish there was a magic bullet here.

15. I believe the scale of the damage is already massive beyond...
comprehension. The toxic floating subsurface "Plumes" that reach for miles are killing more sea creatures than the damage we are seeing in pictures of the oil on the surface, I'd suspect.

Little Bobby is happy though, putting around the coast with his little taxpayer funded PR armada, pissing and moaning about political things, while his state turns to Doo-Doo.

13. I still think that he might try to use this disaster to kick start a run for President.
The "news" outlets are giving him so much free air time to say what he would do if he was in charge.

I don't really want to get started on what I think of Bobby, it wouldn't be very nice.

I will say that I doubt that he is doing anything other than grandstanding for his own personal advancement. I don't think that he cares one little bit about the wildlife or the little people that he represents. It's just one shrub-like photo-op after another.
