The toll in a US drone attack in northwest Pakistan has risen to 15, after 11 people succumbed to their injuries in a hospital, Xinhua reported.

Four people died on the spot and several were injured when missiles hit a house in North Waziristan's Datta Khel area on Friday.

This was the second drone attack in the area in two days. On Thursday, three people were killed in a similar attack.

1. There have now been three attacks in 24 hours.
No one, anywhere, is claiming anyone killed was a civilian. Astounding.

Prof. Khurshid strongly condemn recent NWA drone attack

ISLAMABAD (SANA): Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Amir Senator Prof. Khurshid Ahmad has strongly condemned one more drone attack in North Waziristan killing 14 innocent persons and injuring a large number of Pakistanis.

According to Prof. Khurshid, the Government has totally failed to respond to the unanimous demand of the Parliament and the people that the Government must take every possible step to get these violations of our sovereignty and brutal killings of Pakistanis stopped.

JI leader said that now a United Nations’ expert has also come out with a clear statement that the drone attacks are violations of sovereignty and must be stopped.

“It is a time that Pakistani Government must make a fundamental decision to use its legal and political right to stop all supplies to NATO Forces from Pakistan immediately to put enough pressure on America to stop this wanton violation of our sovereignty”, he emphasized.

“The Government must take this issue, without further delay to Security Council on the basis of this report of the UN Official and also number of US legal experts’ concern that these American violations of our sovereignty must be stopped forthwith. However, for this the Government and people of Pakistan have to stand up to protect their independence and sovereignty and force the United States to stop this humiliating acts of aggression”, he concluded.
