Immigrants make Germany ‘dumber,’ Bundesbank board member says

Bundesbank board member Thilo Sarrazin said immigrants from Turkey, the Middle East and Africa are making Germany “dumber,” Deutsche Presse-Agentur reported.

Immigrants from those countries are less educated than other people and have more children, Sarrazin said at an event Thursday, according to the newswire. Through such immigrants, Germany is getting “dumber on average,” dpa quoted Sarrazin as saying.

He also said, “there’s a difference in the reproduction of population groups with varying intelligence,” according to the report.
