MARSHALL, Mo. - When Kerri and Stephen McGuire got married a year ago, they already had a little boy and wanted to add to their family. So when Kerri got pregnant and found out she was having triplets, they were ecstatic. But four months into the pregnancy, Kerri was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"I had to have a mastectomy within a week after I found out I had the cancer and they moved fast and they said they couldn't do anything else like test until I had the babies," she said.
In April, Kerri gave birth to three healthy babies: Nolan, Ethan and Marissa. Things were going great until she started having severe pain in her right arm.
"Then I found out the cancer had moved to my shoulder and in the bone," Kerri said.
While she cared for her kids, she was also getting radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
"I was in shock and I was really devastated, because you always hear that stage four is terminal, the worst and he did pretty much say it," Kerri said.
Aside from Kerri's medical news, the family got some more bad news when they received an eviction notice.
