Gore daughter Karenna separated from husband
Source: AP

WASHINGTON — Another Gore marriage is on the ropes. The eldest daughter of Al and Tipper Gore, Karenna, has been separated from her husband, Andrew Schiff, for a couple months. Two friends of the family who spoke on condition of anonymity say the couple is seeking counseling.

The former vice president and Tipper Gore announced just last week that they were separating amicably after 40 years of marriage.

The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized by the Gores to discuss a personal matter. Al Gore's office said it would have no comment.

Karenna is 36. Andrew is 44. They married in 1997 and have three young children.

2. Not LBN. This has already been posted more than once today.
I'm sure it will be posted dozens of times more. I'm still trying to figure out its relevance to DU, though.

4. I see. So publicizing and gossiping about a family's separation and divorce
is a good thing, even though they're not public figures? Heck, I didn't know that. Sorry...

7. Yup. None of our business at all. These people are not
public figures. Leave them the heck alone. It's not fodder for DU banter.

8. This just proves that
marriage is the leading cause of divorce.

9. I wish some enlightened serial killer would track
down all the "journalists" who participated in the War on Gore in 1999-2000 and unburden the planet. Too late to prevent Bush from gaining the WH, but not too late for a little justice.

N.B. This is mainly hyperbole. But not completely. I did celebrate when Tim Russert, one of the bigger culprits, died.
