One week later and Fox News' Breitbart blackout remains in place
If a right-wing anti-gotcha falls in the forest and Fox News ignores it, does it still exist?

Andrew Breitbart may be pondering that deep thought, seven days after he and James O'Keefe launched their much-hyped undercover investigation into U.S. Census "corruption." (Workers were taking 70 minute lunch breaks!) But it turns out the gotcha was a massive dud. How big of a dud? Even Fox News wouldn't bite.

For the record, in the week since the sting was unveiled here's how many times, based on Nexis and TVeyes.com searches, the following Fox News programs mentioned O'Keefe since last Tuesday:

Fox & Friends, 0

Studio B With Shepard Smith, 0

Glenn Beck, 0

Your World Cavuto, 0

Special Report, 0

The O'Reilly Factor, 0

Hannity, 0

On the Record with Greta, 0

Geraldo at Large, 0

Huckabee, 0

Keep in mind, over the last week, those shows aired more than 50 hours of programming. Yet not one found time to mention O'Keefe and Breitbart's U.S. Census story.

As I mentioned last week, there's simply no way the Breitbart blackout unfolded by coincidence within Fox News. There clearly was an internal decision made not to touch his beloved O'Keefe investigation, which brings me back to the question I asked last week: What did Breitbart do to piss off Rupert Murdoch?

2. O'Keefe and Breitbart are clearly deluded
Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 08:04 AM by ck4829
They really do think that they're investigative journalists and that if they as much as turn over a rock, any rock, then they will find a mountain of liberal corruption to go on about.

I wouldn't be surprised if both of them have empty trophy rooms where they think all the Nobel Peace Prizes are supposed to go.

All those thousands of hours of editing those ACORN videos to make them look evil must have put holes in O'Keefe's brain or something.

3. Maybe they figured out the workers aren't paid for their lunch time
I am working with the census folks and frequently take 3 - 4 hour lunch breaks. Mid morning visits, break in the middle of the day, then back in late afternoon. That's when I can find more folks at home. We are only paid for actual hours worked.

5. I hope O'Keefe put in for hours not worked.
Nothing like an obvious case of defrauding the US Government.
