Two men face federal charges for threatening Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) during the healthcare reform debate.

The U.S. Attorney's office for the Eastern District of Michigan on Monday charged Russell Hesch, 73, and his son David Hesch, 50, with conspiring to threaten, assault, kidnap or murder a U.S. official.

Both men have been arrested and will appear in federal court in Bay City, Mich., and Denver, respectively, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Stupak, who led a coalition of Democrats opposing abortion rights during the debate, was among several lawmakers in both parties who received threats following the contentious debate.

1. Because they're "pro-life" remember
Look at the bright side: 2 Republican voters are out of the electorate for 2010, and maybe 2012 too.

3. And it SHOULD also be a crime for members of the Media
to urge and encourage people to commit these kinds of acts. Beck, Rush, Hannity and etc have all talked about killing members of congress. I think if a person threatens to harm ANY member of congress or encourages the act, it should be a crime and they should be arrested immediately.
