Last Friday, Glenn Beck promoted the work of Nazi sympathizer Elizabeth Dilling. During the 1930s, Professor Glen Jeansonne notes in Women of the Far Right, Dilling visited Germany and "attended Nazi party meetings." She also traveled to Palestine "where, she said, she filmed Jewish immigrants ruining the Holy Land."

And Helen Thomas had to resign!!!!! And Beck doesn't even apologize today for his promotion of this vile author! No, he blames it on the liberals "Father Coughlin" crowd.

I'm not condoning what Helen Thomas said - but she makes one bad mistake while clowns like Beck, Limbaugh, Savage and all the hate-monger wannabees get away with this vile crap day after day and laugh all the way to the bank!

1. I agree with you. What Helen said was not right, but the things Beck,

Limbaugh, Palin, Hannity, O'Reilly, Dr. Nancy, and all the rest say day in and day out are much worse. Why aren't they "retiring?"

Ann Coulter suggested rat poison be served to a sitting Justice on the Supreme Court. Where was her backlash?

The hypocrisy is incredible!

2. Ann Coulter also called Helen "That old Arab" and suggested

that she shouldn't be allowed near Pres. Bush because she was a potential danger to him because of her ethnic background! Yet no one howled at her about such an ethnic slur against Helen.

Helen Thomas doesn't throw away impolitic remarks. She has survived, a woman of Lebanese heritage in the Washington DC shark tank for DECADES. If anyone knows what to say when, it's Helen.

I don't know what her opinion of Israel or the Palestinians has been over those decades. Certainly, the behavior on both sides has warranted plenty of comment from time to time but not from Helen? Because we sure haven't heard about it.

But suddenly.....when she's 89?????? She's retiring because she has lost a valuable filter, skill, talent, barrier...whatever it is that kept her keeping other people in hot water but herself out of it.

That's what's gone. And that means it's time to go. This is going to be very hard for her.
