OK, we've gotten the talking point for the day. Jindahl is
passionate and a good ranter and the President is just way too calm and collected in the face of crises and the Rs will sweep all elections from here to eternity because of it. Well, damn, he just plain old doesn't care. I mean the "optics"/theatrics are sooooooo much more important than the actual work being done.

1. I read that Bobby does Exorcisms maybe he could do one on the BP oil spill
Of course the media never brings up his past attempts to exorcise a fellow college student of demons

Anyway I guess you must be watching morning joke.

2. Yeah.
It's a good place to get the RW BS points for the day ahead. I refuse to watch/listen to the more hardcore RW media.

MJ is sure hitting on the Jindahl as righteous savior meme (I hate that word). They'll be starting to pump him up as the viable R 2012 candidate to offset Mitch, the Entitled, and the Teabagger Queen.

6. I always said it was a place to hear the latests rethugican talking point
I can't watch it anymore but I do read the threads on it..... Mika, vodka in the morning, Mouse... what can I say?........ I guess I just did....LOL

Yes, sometimes they have good guests for ten minuets on the whole show that worth the time.

I first saw the Jindal push yesterday from an OP ed on CNN...written by a wanker who steadily defended Alberto Gonzales and the Attorney firings.. it was the same memo if I'm hearing you right.

11. Joe's rant has officially gotten OLD. He clearly has nothing better to offer
than his constant drone about how Obama doesn't show emotion.

OK, Joe, why don't you get off your lazy ass and go down to your beloved Pensacola and start helping those people? Can't you think of anything better to do than whine about Obama's lack of acting skills?

It's interesting. I never hear reports from there that the people hate Obama. They just need some hope and some relief. Even Joe admits that Obama is "doing everything right." This is really the time for him to STFU and go DO something for the people he's crying about (sitting in the NBC studio in Manhattan!).

4. Uh yeah, Bobby Jindal is always great with a "response"
In fact his "Republican Response" was so awesome it virtually destroyed his political future in one night.

5. That is being spun as sort of an "off moment"
and that this guy is really a superstar, a diamond in the rough.

To add insult to injury, Mort Zuckerman, joins the table to round out the millionaire's vetch club.

7. The way Jindal is so insistent about these sand berms
I wouldn't be surprised if there were some kickbacks arranged from the dredging contractor.

Conservatives just DON'T get passionate about environmental issues.

8. yep
The meme is all about The Redemption of Jindal. And Meacham said something like "Oh, isn't the press silly, we make snap judgements all of the time that don't end up being right" re: Jindal's Republican Response. Please. Jindal has not suffered from bad political press that badly...the only reason why the press came down on Jindal after that response is because they were trying to distance themselves from the trainwreck because they had pinned Jindal as the Great Hope. And Scarborough made a "teleprompter" dig at Obama, like, "Well, just because he's not good at a TELEPROMPTER one night" or something. Remember when the Republican 2008 convention was almost derailed by a hurricane and the press was trying to turn it into some sort of redemption moment for Republicans to make up for Katrina? Not falling for it..

9. What would suffice for some people?
It would seem that anything less than Obama calling (literally) for the heads of the BP execs and/or actually standing in front of the BP execs with their heads in a guillotine ready to be be beheaded will suffice for some people. :eyes: Come to think of it a Sam Jackson Pulp Fiction-esque execution might work too. Then, people might believe that he REALLY cares.
:banghead:

Do people really want/need more Top Gun-esque theatrics? People need to stop living their lives as though every minute is supposed to be like a movie.

Obama needs to learn when to learn to turn the 'cool' and 'collected' off... actually several weeks ago would have been ideal.

13. cool and collected
that's what I expect the prez to be in a crisis. Obama shows enough anger, frustration, concern for me.
Americans are too hooked on the "Superhero" thing--always expecting the fiery noble warrior--they want Braveheart all the time. Some of the best warriors are the coolest...

Two-faced Bobby Jindal for president? No thanks.

"Where's William Wallace, where's Luke, where's Rambo, where's _______Superhero....???"

Interesting, a lot of times it's the same people whining about the Nanny State...:eyes:

12. So if Jindhal was in charge ----
He gets a call that planes are coming to attack the white house. He gets on TV....screams hollers throws his hands and shakes his fist. Meanwhile with no one in charge of preventive action the planes roll on and attack. Good show just the kind we need in charge while------

Obama is in charge planes coming. He calmly informs the Chiefs of Staff to take all preventive action monitors the situation. Planes brought down. He goes on TV says the incident has been taken care of and is closed.

Which would you prefer.
