Romanoff confirms White House job discussions contingent on him not running for US Senate
Edited on Wed Jun-02-10 10:12 PM by Bluebear
Denver Post 06/02/2010

U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff acknowledged tonight that he discussed three possible jobs with the deputy chief of staff of the Obama administration — all contingent upon a decision by Romanoff not to challenge U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet.

Romanoff said none of the jobs was formally offered, but said the only reason they were discussed with Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina was if Romanoff stayed out of the Senate race.

"Mr. Messina also suggested three positions that might be available to me were I not pursuing the Senate race," Romanoff wrote in a statement. "He added that he could not guarantee my appointment to any of these positions. At no time was I promised a job, nor did I request Mr. Messina's assistance in obtaining one."...

A spokesman at the White House could not immediately be reached for comment on Romanoff's statement.

3. Why choose? They're equally worthless.
And let's get rid of Arnie Charter School while were at it. And all the MonSatan flunkies.

7. what an incompetent bunch of gaboons. I am sure Rahm is in for
the long haul. I don't see Obama dumping him and that is too bad. He will sink Obama if he can.

Rahm botched 1994 with Clinton- and if 2010 follows the same pattern, the guy will find some family matter to attend to.

6. Apparently putting the process of political sausage-making on display
makes Obama look dishonest or corrupt. They all know there's nothing illegal here (though they're hoping for something), just want to tarnish his image.

14. So tampering in Senate elections is fine and this is all racial?
Edited on Thu Jun-03-10 04:17 AM by Bluebear
Just to understand your point?

I don't understand how pressuring people to drop out of races and give the voters less choice in the primaries (of more progressive candidates!) is something to be happy about.

13. Making questionable deals while Democrat
Even worse, making questionable deals while black and Democrat. We all know the cards are stacked differently for Democrats, minorities and women.

12. Well, this mustn't go any higher than Rahm
I believe it might be time for Rahm to spend some time with his family. He does have family, doesn't he? This is dancing a little too close to impeachment territory. Obama needs to show that he was not involved and fire those who were. Simple.
