Arizona governor Jan Brewer lies about her Dad....
I'm not going to say, "Typical republican," but it does match a pattern.

Gov. Jan Brewer said in a recent interview that her father died fighting Nazis in Germany. In fact, the death of Wilford Drinkwine came 10 years after World War II had ended.

During the war, Drinkwine worked as a civilian supervisor for a naval munitions depot in Hawthorne, Nev. He died of lung disease in 1955 in California.

Brewer made the comment to The Arizona Republic while talking about the criticism she has taken since signing SB 1070, the new immigration law that makes it a state crime to be in the country illegally.

"Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that... and then to have them call me Hitler's daughter. It hurts. It's ugliness beyond anything I've ever experienced," Brewer said in the story, published Tuesday.

2. HA HA! What A lying kook!
READ EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAID:

"Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that... and then to have them call me Hitler's daughter. It hurts. It's ugliness beyond anything I've ever experienced,"

AND NOW LOOK AT WHAT HER OFFICE SAID IN RESPONSE TO THE GAFF:

Officials with the governor's administration said her statement should not be taken to mean that she was claiming her father was a soldier in Germany during the Nazi regime... She wasn't embellishing the story at all. You're reading something into this that isn't there."

SHE"S A LIAR!!

5. Wow... I guess I'll start telling people
My dad died in 1990 from both fighting the Axis in the Pacific and communists in Korea.

He enlisted when he was 18 in 1945 into the Navy and was discharged when the war ended. Because he didn't serve enough time, he was drafted into the army for Korea.

He passed away in the Pacific and/or Korean battlefield of Wichita, Kansas. I'm now going to use that as an excuse for mistreating brown-skinned people.

6. Some scientists say there are multiple alternative realities

She may have simply been referring to a reality other than this one.

8. Get the net! k*r
Damn, that's not even close. She just pulls it out of her back pocket.

It's hard to qualify as dumbest governor in the United States but I'd say she's got a lock on it.

9. And I thought that the truth would be that Frau Brewer's father was a Nazi Commandant.
(* rim shot * )

But, truthfully this adds to the fact that Frau Brewer's propensity to sway opinion just to prop up her already rotting reputation.

After all, she is just in lock-step with her Republican comrades, doing what they would do to get ahead.

The truth never got in the way of a good story, in their book.

11. I can top Brewer. "My Navy Dad was in the World War died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany.
OK here is the breakdown of my "weasel". The truth told in order to mislead.

Like Brewer it all depends on where you put punctuation to express meaning and time line.

My Dad was in the World War. World War I. He joined. He was trained. He got on a ship in Ala, or Miss. The 1918 flu quarantined the ship from his coming aboard in late September 1918 through December 1918. November 11,1918 the war ended and so did my Dad's duration.

On January 2, 1942, his birthday, he became to old to serve in the military. He missed that war too.

He worked in a defense plant and was a Hollywood party boy. OHHHHH his phone book. Alan Ladd, Dianna Durbin, who he appeared in two pictures with as an extra. He never remembered the titles. He danced with Joan Crawford and the Del Rio sisters(?).

He loved America.

He died in 1985. :patriot::hi:
