Columbus City Schools To Cut Bus Stops
Columbus City Schools To Cut Bus Stops

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Leaders in the Columbus City School district have approved a plan that will slash more than 1,000 bus stops.

The move, leaders say, will save the district $2.2 million each year, 10TV's Patrick Bell reported.

There are currently 1,466 bus stops, and about 1,350 of them will be eliminated

Only high school students will be impacted by the changes.

According to district leaders, high school students will need to walk to the nearest elementary or middle school to be bused, Bell reported.

Administrators said more than 90 percent of the district's high school students live within two miles of the new stops.
