People are beginning to boycott the hotel I work at...
This is the third potential guest who has complained to me at the front desk about the racist Arizona law. Our hotel (Best Western) is headquartered in Phoenix, so apparently they are coming under fire for being associated with Arizona. For my part, I just apologize to the potential guest and tell them that not all of us support the law, our hotel is independently owned by immigrants from India, so they aren't too fond of the Arizona law either.

Anyway, I did the only thing I thought that I should, I phoned the Best Western corporate help desk and told them about the loss of business that we've been experiencing. The rep that I talked to said that I wasn't the first to have complained to her, and that corporate is "aware of the situation." I wouldn't be surprised if some of these big Arizona corporations under boycott start putting pressure on the State of Arizona to rescind this stupid law.

I did my part.

2. Maybe Best Western should move their headquarters to another state.
That would make a big impression on Arizona.

3. You did. In fact, I think you were perfect every step of the way.
Even if the business is lost for right now, your behavior will be part of the decision to come back later. People like to go where they're welcomed and treated well. And where they feel people are being straight with them.

You're a damned good employee.
