Anybody watch "That Special Relationship? Blair was a real weasel!
The movie really brought back memories. I wasn't crazy about the makeup or costuming of Dennis Quaid, who would have played Clinton better naturally, but Sheen as Blair, was, as usual, perfect. Hope Davis was perfect as Hillary. The rest of the cast were great.
It was very interesting to hear the Clinton character say to Blair he wondered if he(Blair) had ever been a center progressive at all, and then to see Blair embrace the friendship with Bush that Clinton warned him against.Turned out the Big Dog was right and Blair ruined himself aligned with Bush. I found myself agreeing that Blair was never what we thought he was. Another phony pol.
I do think the screenwritewrs rewrote a bit of history though because I do NOT see that Blair was give more crdit for the Kosevo victory than Clinton. In fact, it seemed the real heros to most were Wes Clark and Clinton. They have statues and Boulevards named for them.

1. Blair would still be Prime Minister if he hadn't aligned himself with Bush and gone into Iraq.

2. I don't know.I think that would have been a bit too long but he certainly reversed himself
politcally. He was no "progressive" as Clinton said. Later he would stab Hillary in the back campigning for republicans and Bill publicly called him on it. Blair seemed only in it for himself. He had no loyalty to anyone. Not to his party, his country or to his mentor.
