Duck, Democrats! The Republicans' Latest Billboard Ad!
Edited on Tue Jun-01-10 10:40 PM by Vogon_Glory
While driving home to Austin from Dallas, I saw the latest Republican effort to take us Democrats down in November on a roadside billboard near Temple, Texas. It shows a picture of George Dubya Bush with the caption "Miss me yet? How's that hopey changey thing working out for you?"

After (narrowly) beating the temptation to lob a paint blob at the billboard, I had a happier thought: do the boneheads who thought up this billboard REALLY think that the voters have forgotten who was one of the chief makers of our country's messes, or are they still spending too much time in their right-wing bubble?

:tinfoilhat:

You know, with the Repugs' and the Teabaggers' thinking processes stuck in this mode, we may do a LOT better this November than we think.

:D

:dem:

:patriot:

1. I want to design a couple of t-shirts...
One says "I'm with Hopey"

The other says, "I'm with Changey"

Both say "We're working out just fine, thanks."

2. How many problems could be caused by Republicans

wanting America to fail? And what might they try to do to make it look like that is happening to keep an unequal system, while protecting consolidations of systems.

If they would kick a person out of a house, allow starvation and war for consolidation of profit or wealth, what else might they do.

And if a person backed down to that, then what would they do in later years.

And it is not about Republicans as much as people that support systems of consolidation and extremes.

7. Nope. A different one.
Nope, a different one. The one on I-35 had the "How's that hopey changey thing working out?"

Imagine how even better Democrats could hae done if we'd done a version of Bill Clinton saying "Miss me?" just before the 2008 elections.

6. One item on Letterman's Top Ten List tonight ...

The Top Ten List referenced Mexico's Prez Calderón being a guest at a State Dinner at the White House. The Top Ten List was "Top Ten things overheard at the White House State Dinner". One item cracked me up ... "Number Five. What happened to the dumb guy who lived here?".
