5. If they drop to their 25 cent nominal value
I think they'd help take down JP Morgan Chase who 27% of BP.

2. The only good thing is that it has the potential for causing real change
in our energy production and consumption. It will, however require real leadership for that to happen.

14. lackeys for big oil
because your military cannot function without oil. No oil - no Iraq's. That's why your government withstands the unknown risks of drilling at such depths in the Gulf.

12. MSM gets to stalk a story and fawn over it like a crazy internet stalker w/o having to do much
work or even purport to be doing much because BP has been a stonewall dolling out news at the pace of a segway running out of power.

18. Here's what I wrote 'em:
Really. You've been assigned the task of trying to spin positive stories on this. Really.

OK:

The good side of the oil spill is that we get to see exactly what kind of corporate coddling whores the media have become.

Why don't you try covering the disaster, who's responsible, what we're going to do about it, and when. Perhaps you could deign to find out if this contemptible mess has made it in to the Atlantic Ocean yet, because that's what we're hearing here - that it's past the Keys already.

Maybe you could go so far as to even ask BP some tough questions about that.

That way, you might look like a journalist....instead of a schmuck.
