Wonder how it feels to have no personal integrity
How the hell do these people sleep at night?

<snip> Behind the scenes of the gladiatorial battle that will take place between Paul Wolfowitz and the World Bank Board today are efforts by his lawyer, Robert Bennett, and the Bank staff to negotiate terms of Wolfowitz's departure. Secondly, allegedly on June 1st, Wolfowitz becomes eligible for some large financial bonus -- for performance and time on the job. One estimate puts this figure at about $400,000. Wolfowitz wants to make sure those funds are credited to his private bank account before saying farewell to an institution that has come to despise him.

This shit has got to end. If you or I did this we'd be on our asses in the street hoping we'd maybe get unemployment compensation. There is nothing decent or honorable about capitalism that comes with golden parachutes for a few and poverty for the rest. We don't need a raise in minimum wage so much as we need a resurgence of unions and bring back some power to the people.

9. sadly, that seems to be what it takes to be "successful" in America
Standing on the broken backs of the people you've screwed on the way up. It's incomprehensible to me.

20. If becoming a corporate sociopath or psychopath has evolved into the measure.....
for 'success' in America, then our nation is in much greater trouble than I ever imagined.

7. All I know is I get upset if I find one bug in my web applications
Just one bug out of thousands of lines of code.

These flunkies screw up everything, destroying the COUNTRY in the process and expect us to bow and give them medals. It's almost like they "get off" on their complete lack of integrity.

12. that would explain a lot
it's a hypnotic agent that allows the user to do complex tasks while not conscious. Damn, that makes a lot of sense actually. The new official White House excuse, "Ambien"

19. Last Sunday's Simpsons episode was about that.
Homer was taking a pseudo-Ambien with a real similar name, was sleepwalking, and Bart and Milhouse persuade him to drive around in his zombie condition and do stupid things.

14. Who needs integrity when you have really cool medals?
Wolfowitz, has received numerous awards for his public service, including the Presidential Citizen's Medal, the Department of Defense's Distinguished Public Service Medal, the Department of State's Distinguished Honor Award, and the Department of Defense's Distinguished Civilian Service Medal.

18. They think it's family values.
They provide for their loved ones.

Everyone outside that small circle of kids and mates is a deluded, whiny pawn to be exploited in the great game that only they understand.

It's a tribal ethic, a con-man ethic.
