"Bush is hellbent on January 20, 2009, when he walks out of the door, leaving a box stamped Iraq.."
September Could Be Key Deadline in War, WP, May 8, 2007

Congressional leaders from both political parties are giving President Bush a matter of months to prove that the Iraq war effort has turned a corner, with September looking increasingly like a decisive deadline.

In that month, political pressures in Washington will dovetail with the military timeline in Baghdad. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the commanding general in Iraq, has said that by then he will have a handle on whether the current troop increase is having any impact on political reconciliation between Iraq's warring factions. And fiscal 2008, which begins Oct. 1, will almost certainly begin with Congress placing tough new strings on war funding.

Think this has anything to do with the September deadline?

Pentagon identifies 35,000 more troops for Iraq, WP, May 8, 2007

Mr. Never Changes His Mind is hell bent on throwing our troops' lives away, with both hands.

He thinks that *his legacy*'s wisdom will take 10 or 15 years to be recognized as brilliant.

This is all nonsense, according to senior White House officials. They say that Bush isn't delusional at all and that history will vindicate him, just as it vindicated Lincoln and Truman. "He believes the correctness of his policies-including the war in Iraq-may not be recognized for 10, 15 years," says a Bush adviser. Adds another confidant: "If something reaches his level, it tends to be bad news, but he keeps it all in perspective, and there's no equivocation."

And we are left with the single, basic and glaring truth:

"There were always two debates in the debate over timelines to end the war," said House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.). "George W. Bush is hellbent on January 20, 2009, when he walks out of the door, leaving a box stamped 'Iraq' for the next president. The Republicans are hellbent on not going through the next election with Iraq tied to their ankles. All Boehner said publicly was what Republicans have been saying privately for months."

Speaker Pelosi, set your table to impeach these two madmen. The time to act is NOW.

History will not look kindly on those in power who knew, but lacked the courage to change it.

America's future is literally in your hands.

2. On the afternoon of 20 January 2009
the military deserter and corporate criminal will fly off to his new home in Paraguay far away from justice of any kind. Your legacy is already in the can bush. You are scum. You are the worst president ever and you will be so in 10 to 15 years from now and in a hundred years from now.

4. Are you sure he plans on leaving?
I wonder sometimes if they are not just trying to bring this country to it's knees so they can dissolve the union and create their own military state.
It is just this terrible feeling I get every time they sink to new lows.

8. Sweet Irony
A fake christian conservative and his cabal brought to his knees by the correct application of the second amendment. James Madison would smile nicely.
