I've lost count, we have the relief wells, the top hat, the pipe in pipe thing, and now Top Kill doesn't seem to be working as hoped.

Look for these two options next: LMRP (Lower Marine Riser Package) and the BOP on BOP (just sticking another BOP on the existing one).

The challenge for either is to neatly cut the riser off at the top of the existing BOP, making for a nice attachment surface.

The LMRP is already down there, ready to go.
