1. I read at the oil drum site, no mud was pumping for 16hrs..so it failed. they are saying junk shot

This could take another 24 hours or so, but at this point the oil has stopped flowing out of the broken pipe and what you can see in the live feed below is drilling mud leaking out of the broken riser. When that cloud turns to grey it will mean that BP has begun pumping concrete into the pipe in an attempt to seal it permanently.
