3. The question is: Is it work-ing?
Edited on Wed May-26-10 06:15 PM by tekisui
It will take 24-48 to complete, if successful. How to tell if it is working? I don't know. I would assume a decrease in flow.

4. This is a marathon not a sprint.

It is like checking in 2 minutes after starting gun went off and asking who won the Boston marathon. :)

Seriously though they are ramping up pressure very slowly. BP said it will be 24-48 hours before they know for sure.

Then again if it failed spectacularly we would know muhc sooner. :( So I guess no news is good news.

8. Patience, grasshopper
It may take a few days. Or a few more. Or a week. OK, a month, tops.

And if it doesn't work, August is the date for the relief well. Um, or September, worst case, I promise!

These things take time.

9. 24 hours until they know if it's working
and 72 hours to know if it worked.

They still need to get that relief well dug because this is a temporary fix. Without a pressure relief well, this one will blow again.
