A book that seems timely (though written in 2001)
Something New Under the Sun: An Environmental History of the Twentieth-Century World (Global Century Series) by John Robert McNeill, and Paul Kennedy.

I read it yesterday as part of a reading list for "20th-century World." Interprets 20th-century history from an environmental standpoint. Anyone else read this?

Seems timely, given what has been forced more fully into our consciousness, given current events.
