Friends,

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has been a disaster. Tens of millions of gallons of oil have leaked into the ocean, habitats have been destroyed, wildlife have been killed, and the fishing and tourism industries in the Gulf states are in ruins.

Despite these risks, Republican attorney general candidate Bill Schuette sponsored and voted for legislation that would allow drilling for oil in the Great Lakes while he was a State Senator.

We can't afford to put our greatest natural resource at risk. The Great Lakes are too crucial to Michigan's economy, tourism industry, and our way of life.

Please check out our new video about Bill Schuette's plans for oil drilling in the Great Lakes and the devastation it can bring.

We need an attorney general who will stand up to Big Oil and look out for our interests. Bill Schuette has been nothing more than a puppet to Big Oil throughout his 25-year political career in both Lansing and Washington. Schuette has taken campaign contributions from the oil companies and done their bidding.

Watch our video to find out more.

Bill Schuette has been on duty for oil companies for decades. We need an attorney general who's on duty for us.

Sincerely,

Mark Brewer

Chair, Michigan Democratic Party
