It appears BP will be airing the video during the top kill procedure
Edited on Wed May-26-10 08:37 AM by Lone_Star_Dem
From their website: http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepage/STAGING/local_assets/bp_homepage/html/rov_stream.html

This was there previously. ---->>Please be aware, this is a live stream and may freeze or be unavailable from time to time.

This was recently added. ----->> Throughout the extended top kill procedure – which may take up to two days to complete - very significant changes in the appearance of the flows at the seabed may be expected. These will not provide a reliable indicator of the overall progress, or success or failure, of the top kill operation as a whole. BP will report on the progress of the operation as appropriate and on its outcome when complete.

------------------------------------------

I guess this means they're going to be showing the live feed throughout the procedure?

4. I don't think so. First, that's the collapsed riser, not the BOP.
Secondly, I don't know that they've started the process, yet.

The kill mud could, conceivably, leak out the collapsed riser, and the color would be different.

But over time, it seems the color has gone from light to dark to light again, I wonder if it has to do with how much methane is coming out with the crude oil at any given moment.

6. That's what I read, the darker the color the less gas was combined with the oil
Or so they were speculating yesterday. They also said it was heavier and more polluting the darker the color. :(
