3. And she accuses him of pedophilia...
Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?

Really, accusing an investigative journalist of peeping in your daughter's bedroom is a little nasty, don't you think?

What narrative purpose does it serve to tell us that she wore shorts & a tank top to mow the lawn? She continues to wink.

Homemade blueberry pie? Not made by SP I'll bet, but that's what you are supposed to think.

Tackling her lawn and garden could just mean giving orders and supervising others while they do the work, but you're supposed to think it's SP out there getting dirty and sweaty doing the work.

"peering in" from the looks of the photograph could just be into SP's yard, but this word choice suggests Joe is peering into a window.

BTW: Note that she doesn't know a proper noun when she uses one; "journalism" should be "Journalism".

And, of course, citing the actual author of that quoted line about fences and neighbors, Robert Frost, would be way too elitist for SP. Wouldn't want her sheep to feel any sense of separation from her, afterall.

"if you ever need some sweetener" = I'm so good and generous and sweet, unlike others we can think of.

And, of course, the omnipresent Trig, to remind us that SP cares about everyone, especially the disadvantaged.

37. One correction.
I'm a copy editor. The word "journalism" isn't a proper noun and isn't capitalized unless it begins a sentence.

It's still a very weird Facebook post. She really does think the world revolves around her.

39. Proper nouns name a particular person, place, thing, or idea. Journalism is a particular idea about
writing as distinct from just any written artifact and, yes, that is a more academic sense of the word.

41. No, it's not a proper noun
For example, compare the Merriam-Webster entries for 'journalism' and 'Christianity':
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/christianity
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/journalism

Notice they capitalise 'Christianity' under 'main entry', but not 'journalism'. And if you want an academic use:

The field of journalism thrives on the curiosity, enthusiasm, and creativity of its participants.

5. Gawd, she is such a sociopath...
She just couldn't leave it alone, could she? She had to get on her FB, write about
herself in ultra-flattering ways. Nothing like describing yourself as a Mother-Earth-mother-
of-the-year--as she lays into this guy.

How she shreds people to ribbons, with her folksy, cutesty, golly-gosh-darn twang--is
revolting. Notice how she doesn't have a lot of concrete gripes with this guy? She
gets him--by puffing herself up as a saint--and the author as someone who would dare
to harm perfect Sarah. "Gosh o golly o gee, I'm just mowin the lawn and caring about
my child" while Satan sits nearby...looking in my daughter's window."

What a narcissistic freak.

30. Or a loaf of french bread....
"In my family we think laughing is good," actress Andrea Fay Friedman quipped. "My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes."

"I was born with Down syndrome," Friedman added. "I played the role of Ellen on the 'Extra Large Medium' episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine's day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in 'Smudge' but I was a blonde in "Life Goes On". I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line 'I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska' was very funny. I think the word is 'sarcasm.'"

IIRC Bristol found out that her pregnancy was announced to the media when she heard it from the media. Palin didn't even tell her first.

She has no problem using them or manipulating family situations to benefit herself.

28. Actually, the rental McGinniss is in is to the left in that pic
It's next to the older building that looks suspiciously like a sports center, not the humungous newer monstrosity on the right.

But because there are effectively no planning laws there, the Palins built their original (pretty damn large) house within 15 feet of their neighbor's. Guess they weren't too worried about anyone's privacy when they did that.

Maybe that's why the neighbor decided to rent it out, to avoid having to witness the circus next door.

43. My guess is that the neighbouring house's deck is 15 feet from the boundary
and so when she say he is '15 feet away', that would be 15 feet from her if she stood at the fence. Yeah, she's trying to make it sound as if the writer, or his landlord, has done something wrong, or even just new. In reality, nothing has changed, if the property next to her was occupied sometime before. Her massive sense of entitlement makes her think that, while she doesn't have to get planning permission for anything, she should have the right to vet her neighbours.
