Is it me, or does it look like the sea floor is slowly collapsing at the oil volcano?

The pipe seems to be getting further and further from the ridge. Just a few days ago, it was flat.

Why is the riser pipe sinking into a hole?

I could understand the BOP collapsing in on itself, but don't understand the hole that the riser pipe is clearly in now. What would be causing the collapse under the riser pipe?

I had the tsunami in the wrong place--but who knows where it would be? "worst parts of the Bible" s what it boils down to.
Someone posts a little below that to "picture the rug being pulled out from somebody" (paraphrase)--thus the bottom of the ocean suddenly drops.
