Palin to Gov. candidate Haley "Hang in there..." regarding "lies" about affair
Edited on Tue May-25-10 09:02 AM by cbdo2007
Washington (CNN) – Drawing parallels to her own experiences with rumor and political sniping, Sarah Palin used a Facebook posting Monday to defend the candidacy of South Carolina Republican gubernatorial hopeful Nikki Haley.

"As I said to Nikki this morning, 'Hang in there. I've been there. Any lies told about you will strengthen your resolve to clean up political and media corruption. You and your supporters will grow stronger through things like this.'"

Palin's reaction comes just hours after Haley denied a claim that she once had an extramarital affair with a prominent South Carolina political blogger.

Palin endorsed Haley earlier this month in a surprise move, and then traveled to South Carolina, where the two women appeared at a rally.

Good move again Palin - attach yourself more closely to this sinking ship.

7. I don't know but it is Palin's gamble....

If there is any possibility that Haley had an affair with the blogger, Palin should let that story run it's course rather than run to her defense immediately and say it is lies and smears. If it turns out the affair is true this will definitely reflect negatively on Palin and her own claims of media "lies".

8. Bwahahaha... Nikki Haley's love interest now...
claims he has 4 years worth of e-mails, text messages, and voice mail between the two. He gives specific dates and times. Oh my, Sarah knows how to pick 'em.

"Voters are totally used to the idea of us republicons being liars and hypocrites, so in the end this won't amount to a pee hole in the snow. Besides, as a republicon you are 'special' and you can 'cut a deal' with Jeebus. Stuff the collection plate with cashmoneybucks and HE will, um, forgive you for being a republicon."

10. Sarah is just keeping her own brand in the Media.
I think it's a mistake to believe that Palin is trying to help anyone get elected. If that was her plan she would still be the governor of Alaska. She is just another "Real Housewife" keeping her face in public and making as much money as she possibly can before the next face steals her thunder.

She doesn't need to be right, she just needs to sell books and make speaking money. Then it's off to television and become TV's version of Rush Limbaugh. Millions...

11. "Any lies told about you will strengthen your resolve "
Ummmm, isn't political sniping and lies that she claimed were effecting her family the reason she threw in the towel as Gov of Alaska after half a term?

I don't think Palin has any idea what strengthening reolve means. Not that Palin having no clue is anything unusual.

13. Palin quit not so much because of the lies
But because of the truth of her own corruption. I wonder how that investigation is coming along?
