note to the media: 5,000 barrels is a lie, not an estimate

when will they start doing thier job and report some truth?
i guess it doesnt help when our govt officals are lying as well.

(Reuters) - Oil major BP is exploring a new way to siphon off oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico should current plans to plug the leak this week fail.

The London-based company said on Tuesday it had plans to remove a damaged part from the ruptured well and put in place a tube which would capture most of the oil and gas flowing into the sea, calling it the LMRP cap containment option.

BP already has one tube in place which is siphoning off an average "40 percent of the 5,000 barrels" of oil the company estimates is leaking out of the well each day.

1. Another note to the media, Thad Allen is an
ignorant tool. For him to say to say that "By the time the leaking well is finally capped, the amount of oil discharged could be comparable to the total released in the Exxon Valdez environmental disaster 20 years ago," is just so wrong and a complete lie.

3. Can't figure it out. Is he a complete idiot,
does he work for BP or is he Commander of the Coast Guard? I mean WTF, he is the one in charge out there, on behalf of our Government? Stunning.

5. At least the M$M is starting to call it what it really is...a gusher.
I get so tired of hearing "spill" and "leak." The response to a spill or a leak is "Oops."

That just doesn't cut it when discussing this disaster.
