7. Because, of course...
...this will be held up as "proof" that Obama's economic plan was a "failure," and that we need to return the Republicans to office to restore prosperity.

And you know what? About half of the country will buy it. :-(

2. Stock futures plummet as world watches Korea, EU
NEW YORK — Stock futures plummeted Tuesday as fears of a global economic slowdown grow and tensions rise on the Korean peninsula.

The euro again dropped, inching towards record lows set last week.

Traders have been rapidly selling the euro in recent weeks because of uneasiness over whether steep budget cuts in countries like Greece, Spain and Portugal will drag down an economic recovery on the continent. Italy will likely become the latest European nation to announce spending cuts to reduce its deficit

Major European indexes tumbled.

10. Well d'uh!
The Euro is teetering, as is Spain. Greece's population is still continuing to fight austerity measures and Portugal is starting to slide. Meanwhile the Gulf disaster continues unabated, N. Korea and S. Korea are quickly building up to unleashing a huge war, and the US is chiming in on it. At home here, the economy, especially jobs, are still in the shitter.

So what is there to run up the market? Nothing.
