Biloxi woman cuts into mullet, finds oil inside
Biloxi woman cuts into mullet, finds oil inside

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - In nine years of fishing Mississippi coastal waters, Jessie Saxon has never seen anything like this before.

"There's some right here, see it? See the oil? That's oil," Saxon said, pointing inside a filleted mullet.

Saxon got the fish from a fisherman on Biloxi's Back Bay. She said the fish were still alive and she placed them into her ice chest.

"All they wanted to keep was the speckled trout and asked me if I would like to have the mullets and the white trout."

She added that she took them because she loves to fish, "And as I was cleaning them, I was noticing the bellies looked unusually dark. So I decided to open this one up and the oil, you could smell it when I popped its belly."

I love xkcd! But I have to Google quite often to figure out wtf he's talking about.

I haven't laughed out loud as much since Calvin & Hobbes.

5. well i was on the back bay saturday
i believe the state, they have no reason to lie

mississippi enjoys a good lawsuit as much as anyone and more than some but the oil ain't there yet, knock on wood

it's the talk of the town, everybody's freaked out and worried, and keep in mind, biloxi is a katrina area, people who have natural disaster PTSD sometimes get really anxious, i keep thinking i smell something, it's stress and repeated stress, it damages people

So I don't know what in what context and to what you're replying. But are you actually saying you believe Haley Barbour's administration's take on the oil's effect on Mississippi? Were you there for Katrina? Because I was. There I learned that everything that came out of that administration was a lie to serve corporations. There was a lot of environmental contamination after Katrina but the power that be in the state told everyone to move along, nothing to see. This is sure to be more of the same.
