I had a dream last night about the oil gusher.
I was near a very clean, slow flowing stream. The water was a beautiful pale blue, the color you sometimes see in those beaches on the Caribbean with the white sands. There was a truck that was dripping oil into the small stream and I could see the orange/brown circles of thick oil sitting on top of the water and it streamed down toward me. I reached out and lifted one off the water with my finger and it folded over my finger like a greasy jellyfish.

In the dream, it was so clear how little oil it actually took to completely destroy the purity of the water. That's what water is, it is pure. It is where we came from and what e are made of. It is what we need for life, at its most elemental nature. In the dream, it was so clear that this water was now RUINED.

And then, still in the dream, I realized that there was a GUSHER in the Gulf of Mexico, a gusher that was just BLASTING out oil and this unimaginable speed and power. Blasting it out at 50 gallons per second into beautiful water. And ruining it.

Sometimes dreams are so clear.

3. We had some friends down (orlando) from NY this weekend
And I didn't realize how much I must have brought it up, but today one of them said, "this is really a big deal to you isn't it?"

Quoting Joe Biden, I replied, "this is a BIG fucking deal."

4. just a few drops...
of machine oil can contaminate 5000 gallons of fresh drinking water. This will be an ecological nightmare of untold proportions.
