More Questions For Rand Paul
Edited on Sat May-22-10 06:22 PM by louis c
Rand Paul has two problems in this election. He is a true libertarian, in every sense of the word and he is honest to a fault in expressing his opinions. Therefore, let him answer a few more questions.

(1). Dr. Paul, since businesses should not be mandated by the government, do you believe that the owner of the business, on his own, can choose to pay men a higher wage than a woman. If he does, does the government have a right to force the owner to pay equal wages?

(2). Should the government mandate that a woman be prevented from terminating her pregnancy, or should that choice be strictly between her and her Doctor.

(3). Do you believe in the FDA, or should the consumers have to make sure that their food and medical products are safe.

(4). (And this one's big in Kentucky). Should the Federal Government set safety standards in the workplace or should businesses, like coal mining, be left on their own to make those safety decisions.

(5). Do you believe in the legalization of all drugs, including morphine, cocaine and heroine?

That's just 5 off the top of my head. I'm sure you can add some more. As you can see, the probable Libertarian answers to (2) and (5) will cost him right wing votes. The answer to (1) will cost him women's votes. The answer to (3) will make him a wacko and the answer to (4) costs him working men's votes. He's already lost minorities. Even in Kentucky, there's not much left.

10. Which is particularly satisfying IMO
For decades, Libertarians have been attacking Democrats and Republicans for "lacking the courage of their convictions." Hell, Libertarian Rand Paul doesn't even have the courage of his rhetoric!

3. We already know he's anti-choice
and opposes gay marriage.
He is NOT consistently libertarian.

11. Libertarians are split on the choice issue. Rand is not a libertarian, though.

4. Libertarians, ike their repug soul mates, can only tell
you what they don't like but never have a clue about how to fix their imaginary problems.

5. I find that interesting.
I am opposite of that, I have no imaginary problems, only good imaginary things, but have a paradox on what people would say is fixing real world stuff in my life.

6. Piggy-backing on number 3
Should the government have a role in regulating restaurants? After all, if a restaurant owner chooses to poison his customers in order to make a buck, won't the free market self-regulate him out of business -- eventually? After all, once enough people go to the emergency room or die, word will probably get out. Right?

7. Do you think some states should own slaves??
After all, you oppose the Civil Rights Act and sympathize with Neo-Confederates and other angry old white rednecks?? Should some states, should they choose, be allowed to revive slavery??

9. Best question: Should a private employer be allowed to hire "illegal aliens?"
While we know they do, it is against the law and ever so topical right now.

that's what a Kentuckian said to me today. Great, just great. Let's elect people who could be dangerous, but please keep it from me.

15. Dr. Paul, are you aware that some poor poodle has died on your head?
Seriously WTF is up with his hair? The top of it is a totally different texture/color than the sides and back. Does this man own a mirror, or does he need to get his eyes checked? Oh wait...
