Free oil free-for-all! Open to all!
BP should let anyone who can go out into the gulf and siphon up as much oil as they can and then sell it back to BP at a profit or keep it. Perhaps some regular people could make money from BP while helping to clean up this disaster. There's a lot of oil out there and it's worth money. Just another dumb idea.

4. I'm wondering why BP doesn't siphon directly from the plumes
Along with capping and/or siphoning from the point of the leak, wouldn't it be much easier drawing oil from a massive plume?

6. That's what I have advocated on two previous posts.
So what if there's sea water mixed in? Siphon directly from the plumes. refine it later.

Maybe I will be lucky and not die from cancer in 10 years.

13. If the oil doesn't wash up in your backyard... it's not happening...
NIMBY... it's all an illusion. See?

Only problem.. when all the seafood is gone, and a hurricane spreads the oil all over the midwest crops... then it becomes a "real" problem.

But until then... there is always another installment of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.... go back to sleep...
